How do Wyvern help DSA Students?
At Wyvern we are a QAG accredited DSA supplier, we offer a full range of equipment, support and training to allow you to be able to successfully work through university without any problems. We have all manner of assistive hardware and software to help in all aspects.
You will have spoken with an assessor who will have suggested the equipment you require.
We will provide that equipment quickly and easily for you. We work around you to offer a set delivery time so it doesn’t effect your university work and you don’t end up missing lectures waiting around for us. We provide text reminders 24 hours before an appointment as we know how busy university life can be. When we visit on-site our delivery drivers will setup and test the equipment, show you it working, and ensure you’re happy before leaving, we call this familiarisation. After their visit you’ll be able to provide feedback anonymously. We have found that over 98% of this feedback is positive, with most students rating the service at least 4/5.
If required after your equipment is installed one of our team of trainers will visit you at a time to suit and sit with you and train you on the equipment provided. This training is tailored to your requirements, there is no set script. The trainers will be able to show you how your assistive software will be able to help you day to day at university, We have found this to be very beneficial for students, again feedback is able to be provided and we have found almost 100% of all students found the training to be beneficial to their course at university.
We also offer a remote training service if you’d rather not have someone visit you or if its easier to fit around your schedule in shorter sessions. These sessions are ran over the internet using a secure system we have that works similar to Skype. It allows you to talk to your trainer (and see them if required) while they have control of your applications so you can use your computer and work through the training. They also have the option to share their screen to show you some features if required. We have found this to be a great service for students.
We understand that problems with IT equipment can be troublesome during a university course. Thats why we have a dedicated team of support engineers on hand to solve any issues you may have. We have facilities to be able to remote control your computer if required so you can show us the problem. If the issue can’t be solved over the phone we’ll arrange to have your equipment fixed and if required we’ll collect and return your item to you quickly with timed deliveries back to you, we’ll also keep you updated you every stage of the way.
